So basically, your board examination marks are definitely important to get into any college, and that's a basic criteria , but you should also know that it's not the most important thing to get into an engineering college.

To get into an engineering college, you  have to give JEE Mains examination, which is the all india examination, or you can give some state level exams as well like WBJEE, KCET etc.
