Hi Arden

The following parameters make up the eligibility criteria of BITSAT 2019 which candidates will have to fulfill.

Candidates need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects and adequate proficiency in English.

Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have secured minimum 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology in their qualifying exam or equivalent. They also need to have minimum 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects in the qualifying exam.

Subject Combination in Qualifying Exam: Candidates need to have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in their 10+2 or equivalent exam, for admission to B.Tech programme. However, candidates need to have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their 10+2 or equivalent exam, for admission to B.Pharm programme. However, candidates with PCM can also apply for Pharmacy programme. Candidates need to have adequate proficiency in English.

Passing Status: Candidates who are appearing in their 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2019 or have passed their qualifying exam in 2018 will be eligible for BITSAT 2019. In case, a candidate has taken more than one attempt in their 10+2 or equivalent exam, then only his or her latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/ courses prescribed. Those candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2017 or earlier will NOT be eligible for BITSAT 2019.

Candidates studying in any of BITS campuses will not be eligible to appear in the entrance exam.

Hello Arden,

BITS does consider your 12th board marks to get admission. You  need to get 75% in your 12th board. You need to score 280+ in the BITS examination to secure a good seat in the top BITS college. Also if you are the topper of the 12th boards of your respective state you can get direct admission. You can try applying for BITS and if you score high marks on BITS exam they will consider you for admission based on merit.
