I would like to say that you are definitely eligible for choosing Computer Science as a subject after your Secondary School Certificate, if you have scored 74 percentile in the 10th standard from a recognized board. Some institutions also conduct a short interview session to test the capabilities of the students. Other institutes conduct either written tests, or select the students on merit basis. You can choose any one between Science with Computer Science, and Arts with Computer Science.

Also, you are eligible to choose Computer Science as your line of study after Higher Secondary Certificate from a recognized university or board, and you can pursue your graduation in the same field from a good institute, if you choose to do so. Most of the institutes nowadays conduct written tests and interview sessions to know the potential of the students, and so, it is very important to have enough skills to crack the exam and pass the personal interview session as well. If you are able to do so, you will definitely be selected. Other institutes select students on merit basis. There are many special courses on Computer Science after 10+2 level, such as- BCA, BTech in IT, and BSc IT.
