If your rank is around 35,000 then, you can get computer science branch. And if you got rank above 50,000 and around 60,000 then you can only get civil engineering branch in NIT Goa

Otherwise, if you have a rank around 20,000 then you may get any branch of your choice, depending upon the seats during counselling.

Hello Shresha

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For admissions to NIT Goa’s BTech programmes, aspirants should ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements of JEE main. This includes criteria like the aspirant’s DOB, year of appearance in Qualifying Examination(QE) and number of subjects in QE, number of attempts, etc.

CUT OFF FOR VARIOUS BRANCHES

CSE                               OPENING RANK 11983                                       CLOSING RANK 22027

ELECTRONICS              OPENING RANK 23027                                        CLOSING RANK 73118

MECHANICAL                OPENING RANK  39178                                      CLOSING RANK 77304

SELECTION PROCESS

Eligible candidates need to qualify JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Main. Clearing this exam is a must for securing admissions to the institute’s BTech programmes.

Once students clear this exam, they can then apply and attend JoSAA’s (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) seat allotment process

Documents required at the time of admission:

  • Printout of locked choices during choice filling and Registration from JOSAA website
  • Printout of Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Admit Card of JEE (Main)
  • Score Card of JEE(Main)
  • Photo ID proof as per Govt. India/State.
  • Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Certificate and Marks sheet of qualifying examination (10+2).
  • Proof of initial fee payment to JOSAA

Hope you are satisfied with my answer

Hi there .

As you are in sc category. And you cleared your JEE Main . So you are eligible for admission in IITs and NITs.

Also NITs and IITs are top institutions for engineering in India.

There average cutoff is between 98-99 percentile for general . And for quota, you must have a really good rank .

But if you are trying for NIT GOA . So its possible only if you have a great rank. Because even if you are in Sc category, the reserved seats are limited. So it is worth trying .

But yes you can try for state colleges or private colleges also. They do not have that high cutoff .

You can also give CETs or other competitive exams and try there .

I hope this was helpful. Good luck

And best of luck.
