When you say scoring well, it should be nothing less than 90 percentile. . CAT exam is not something where in you are either declared PASS or FAIL. Its a measure of your performance among other applicants. Better the percentile, fairer the chance of getting into Top B schools. For example, if your score is 90 percentile, it means you did better than 90 percent of the Candidates who applied. Now cracking CAT and faring better than a certain percent of Candidates totally depends on how you prepare. To get into IIMs considering your OBC-NC Category and your Academic marks your CAT percentile should be nothing less than 95.
Hii Tushar,
If you score well in CAT than some of the top MBA colleges are as follows:
- IIM Ahmedabad
- IIM Calcutta
- IIM banglore
- IIM Lucknow
- IIM Indore
- IIM ranchiranchi
All the IIM's are best. But among them top are mentioned above.
Thankyou
Dear Tushar, now the top IIMs and other business schools have changed the criteria for giving admissions to student. Talking about your score in academics, if you score excellent in CAT, then you can get call from any IIMs. But scoring high in CAT is the first step. After CAT there are many rounds organised by the particular college like Extempore, GD,PI. The score of all of these in addition to the score of your CAT will finalise your admission in any college. Sometimes there are students who don't do well in CAT and they have high scores in 10th, 12th, even they get call from IIM-A, b and C. So, just by looking at your marks it's impossible to predict which college you can get. Do well in CAT and prepare simultaneously prepare for other rounds also.
All the best
Hope this helps
