Dear student,
I hope you are doing well.
Now, if we we try to find your common rank on the percentile will be somewhere between 234574 - 263695.
You can check your expected rank yourself by using our rank predictor tool. Below I am pasting the link of it.
Please note that these ranks are calculated on the basis of past years trends, so you can expect slight variation in the actual rank and the expected rank.
If we try to find out your category rank by looking at the past year trends then your SC rank will be somewhere around 12000 .
Now as you have not mentioned your homestate then I will consider you that you will not avail the homestate reservation for NIT Silchar.
Below is the last closing rank for previous years for NIT Silchar for an SC category student.
Year Last Closing rank
2020 2408
2019 2933
2018 2211
As you can see that the the seats get fulfilled by 3000 rank so unfortunately you may not get the seat in NIT Silchar.
You can also use our rank predictor tool to see which colleges are in your rank range. Below I am pasting the link of it.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!!
Hello Aspirant,
If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 234574 - 263695 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-
Closing ST rank for NIT Silchar was :-
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering branch - 2815(Home state quota)
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering branch - 2408(Other state quota)
And your ST rank is expected to be around 12,000 .
So you have no chances to get NIT Silchar with any of the branches even if you have Home state quota.
But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 80-85+ then you might have a shot at NIT Silchar.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

hi,
see as per previous years cutoff analysis of reputed institute like nits, at this score you have no chances for admission in any of the nits even for your category.
cutoff score varies with number of applicant, students category, choice of stream, difficulty level of jee main papers like determining factors.
so if you will participate in jee main 4th session exam try to bring score around 90+ this time.
