Chances depend on a number of scenarios than just marks.

If u score above 90 percentile in cat u mey got calls from new iims but old iims u should score above 99 percentile..

Apart from cutoffs, There are various criteria for shortlisting and selection after clearing CAT with good score such as past academic records, Extra curricular activity, work experience etc.

As per the criteria you should have minimum 60% in your academic to apply for old IIMs so the chances are less for it but you can expect the call from new IIMs or other top B School because each IIM & B School do not strict for academic records. First of all you have cleared your eligibility criteria to appear in CAT exam as you have above 50% in 10th, 12th and graduation. But still you have an average academic background so you need to focus on score a very high percentile in order to get a call from IIMs.



To get a call from IIM doesn't only depends on CAT marks as the aggregate list which is prepared by different IIMs has different parameters like CAT marks, 10th, 12th, graduation marks, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges.



Every IIM emphasize on academic records. There are even some colleges like IIM Indore which gives more weightage to academic records than CAT marks. Seeing your average academic background you need to score a very high percentile to cover up the loss due to academic records in your aggregate score.



If you're able to score above 98 percentile then there is a good probability that you will get calls from all New IIMs and even convert them.



If you are appearing in CAT 2017 then there is very less time left so you need to quickly brush up with your basics and give up lots of online mock test which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile.
