Hello Harrsha,
Your admission in NIT depends on your rank and your rank can be finalised only after the second mains exam. As of now your probable rank is around 1.7 lakh which can give you admission in some new NITs. Your rank may change after second exam. Hello. You have a decent score. It means that almost 20% of the total no. of students who appeared in the exam are ahead of you. (Tot. students- 874469). That is around 1,74,893 students have scored equal to or more than you.
It is difficult to tell if you will be getting nit college now since your percentile and rank may differ after the April exam. This is because your percentile depends on the tot. no. of students appearing in the exam. NTA will release the Overall merit list based on the no. of students appeared and best of two attempts of the students appearing twice.
But for now you can check your rank from the below formula.
Rank - (100-percentile score)*(874469/100)
But this is not the final rank as it will be different if the total no. of students appearing in the April exam changes (most oviously no. of students appearing in April will be higher).
But from the previous cutoff I can tell you that any rank below 2,00,000 will get you qualified to sit for JEE Advanced.
