I got 80 percentile in mains .Is it necessary to write LPU NEST test to get admission in LPU or not or go through mains percentile??

Dear, If you have scored  80th percentile or above in the JEE Mains, then you are eligible for direct admission into the B.Tech program. however You may also apply for the LPUNEST for potential scholarship opportunities.

As per the present guidelines, for admission to B.Tech 2024 at LPU, the applicant is required to have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics ) subject to qualifying LPU NEST or CUET or JEE Mains (From Phase II Onwards) .

Furthermore, LPU provides scholarships based on the candidate's JEE score, which are applicable throughout the duration of the course. If a candidate's score is below the required threshold for the scholarship, they can still avail of the same benefits through the LPUNEST, which is an entrance and scholarship test conducted by LPU for admission to various programs.

As per the latest updates, LPU is not giving admission on the basis of jee. However, you can get admission based on the Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST (https://nest.lpu.in/engineering/index.php) .

The university has not yet released any guidelines pertaining to admission in the basis of JEE score. Since you have already qualified JEE, I would suggest that you appear for LPUNEST for an admission in LPUs B Tech CSE program. It is LPUs admission cum scholarship test conducted for various programs. Till now the information regarding the mains marks id not provided. But from this year the university is set up their criteria that a person should not have below 60% in boards and with that criteria, he must also be able to qualify LPU NEST. So from this year yes it is compulsory to qualify LPU NEST also.

Not necessary but if u have good marks in 12 and if u will write ur LPU NEST exam then there chances that u have got good scholarship which give u edge over jee main marks. I suggest u should write LPU NEST exam beacuse there is no negative marking in the test. LPU NEST is conducted in online mode only and university has created centres in more than 200 cities across India. The question pattern followed in the LPUNEST is 30 questions on Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology and 20 questions on English. There is no negative marking in this examination and each correct answer fetches 4 marks. The syllabus for this test is similar to that of the +2.
