Dear Debasish
Your chances of getting into IIMs are fairly decent if not very good based on your past academics. But you can always make up for it by getting high percentile in CAT examination and give a good GWPI.
If you do all this then it is fairly decent to get a seat in IIMs
All the best.
As you have one more year before you finishes graduation so try to improve your graduation marks which will fetch you more marks in aggregate score. Actually students are not directly called for interview round only on the basis of CAT marks bit a merit list is made on the basis of aggregate score of individual student which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th, graduation marks, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender.
You should aim for high percentile atleast above 99 percentile in order to get a call from top IIMs like IIM A, B and C. Higher percentile will help you in covering the loss due to academic records and will increase your probability of conversion.
You should start working on basics of each section from right now and also start attempting online mock test and analyse them which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile. It will also help you to know about your strength and weakness and work on them.
All the best for your preparations!!
