I got 82 percentile and I'm from sc category, can i get admission in any nit?
Hello, Aspirant. You mentioned you are from SC category. Based on your percentile your AIR should be within the range of 184140 - 207000 in Common Rank List while your category rank may be somewhere around 10000-15000. Based on previous years' cutoff and your performance, it is difficult for you to get chance for admission in any branch of NIT for any stream. For SC category. a candidate must secure 85+ percentile to be eligible for admission to any non-core branches of NITs.
However, you can have good chances for non-core branches in the following Public/Government colleges:
- Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology
- University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kanpur
- Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur
- IIIT Delhi - Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology
- Central Institute of Technology, Assam
and more...
To get a detailed report on your eligibility and know your chances in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, State Level - Government & Private Engineering Colleges, use JEE Main 2021 College Predictor:
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your career.
Thank you and good luck!
