Hi Ranjit,
Your rank is not good enough for NITs. There is a slight chance that you might get into some lower NIT but those are very bad and have almost zero facilities. So if this is your first attempt, then prepare again and give the exam next year. However, if you still want to pursue Engineering in this academic year then try for some private colleges. There are some good private colleges But if Fees factor is an issue then you must go for a gap year and try your luck next time.
I would like to suggest one more thing, do not do B.Tech from a bad college. College really matters when you do a professional course like B.tech. Because the college name plays a very important role in campus placements. If you do B.Tech from some bad college chances are high that you will not end up getting a job.
Hope this solves your query.
BEST OF LUCK!
Thank You
Hey Ranjit Dhoran, You have scored 82.6 percentile in JEE Mains and you belong form OBC Rank that will be very beneficial to you as in all Government Funding Technical Institute (GFTI), some seats are being reserved for the OBC Category. Cutoff for OBC Category this year is 74.3166 means you have also cleared the cutoff exam. But at this rank you will not be able to get admission in NIT for Computer Science Branch. If you want any other branch then you can take admission in NIT like you can take Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering (different from Computer Science), and some others too. You can check for various colleges and explore them and choose the best one for your future according to your needs.
If you want admission in other colleges on the basis of JEE Mains Marks you can choose JEE MAIN PREDICTOR as being provided by Careers 360 only at a very nominal price. You will be provided with all the details of the colleges with the best branch. You can use that it is really very good and you can check and explore various colleges and choose the best college.
Hello dear
With this rank it is difficult to get a good college.( Nit kurukshetra; nit delhi; Trichy; Warangal etc.)
But you may get low ranked nits like ( Srinagar ; Arunachal Pradesh etc ).in spot round ( but not fruitfull as much .
So either you should go in private colleges or in state government colleges ( you can get because if your category rank ).
Otherwise you should take drop and work for next year ; if you really and kneen hearted to get nit.
Good luck.
