With a rank of 8421 in AEEE, you might possibly not get a Computer Science and Engineering branch in Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. You migh also not get any other campus with CSE or any other branch. All you can get is Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru. however if you use a state quota the chances of getting a desired seat might increase drastically for you. You haven't mentioned whether you enjoy a Home state quota or not. So, I will consider both the cases.

Now if you don't enjoy a Home state quota, then it is almost impossible for you to get admission in Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore in CSE  branch. The closing rank of CSE seat in Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore for open quota goes around 1.9k. So, you have no chances of getting CSE seat.

Buut if you belong to Home state quota, then I would say you can easily get into the college and get the CSE seat. The closing rank of CSE seat in Amrita School of engineering in Home state quota goes around 13k. So you can easily get admission there.
