I got 85.8% and I want to pursue BA Hons Sociology. I am from arts stream but didn't have sociology in 12th. Can I still get admission?

Hello,

Yes, you can get admission in BA sociology hons since the main eligibility criteria is passing 12th standard .Most colleges see your agrregate class 12 marks and have their own entrance tests.

Some good colleges you can try for are Lady Shri Ram College for women, New Delhi, Miranda House, New Delhi and Hindu College, New Delhi .

You actually need to mention that where do you want your admission for pursuing this course as every college has its own merit list and cut offs . The main requirement for B.A Sociology is qualifying 10+2 or any equivalent examination from any recognised school board.For admission in DU it would be a bit difficult for you to get admission there as the cut offs are quite high there. But you can check out the Bharti college & few more
