I got 86.33 percentile in jee mains 2020. I'm a candidate of obc caste. Can I hope to get a seat in NIT?

Hi Asma,

For percentile 86.33 your general rank should be around in the range 1.25 lakh - 1.50 lakh and your obc rank should be 40k which is not good enough to get a seat in NIT. There is a very slim chances of getting lower NITs(lower branch) only if you have state quota for that NIT. That means the NIT which lies in your state should not be top - notch. You can get lower branches at lower NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Manipur, NIT Mizoram etc only if you have homes tate quota for these NITs.
