Hello Deepika
The South India , as considered by many Indians , is the better place in India to do engineering , all of us think that the colleges there would have better infrastructure , better exposure and faculties.
As most of the NIT's in South India, since you didn't mentioned particular state , or NIT so i assumed you're talking about NIT's like Warangal , Truchy etc.
But since all these NIT' s have Home State quota , hence most of those seats are filled only few left for North Indians and for that too you had to get good rank.
As your rank is about, 9,00,000 , if you belong to general or obc category there is no way you get seat into one of those because of tough competition.
Even for SCST students, chances are less that you got into one with that rank ,if you get into one, that would be New NIT and branch is not too good.
So try for North India , newer NIT's if you're from SC ST category .
For OPEN category there are no chances.
Thankyou
With a rank close to a lac, that is, 1,00,000, it is close to impossible for you to a avail any government colleges under JEE, especially the IITs and the NITs, all over India. You should probably try out other exams like BITSAT and VITEEE, which will give you better colleges and better ranks than what that rank in JEE will give you.
This free eBook covers JEE Main important chapters & topics to study just 40% of the syllabus and score up to 100% marks in the examination.
No! You have no chance of getting NITs in south. It is very difficult for your rank to get south NITs. with your rank you may get some new IIITs,which are not that worth. That too you don't get a good branch in them. So, go for private colleges or for the governement colleges that are present in your state.
