Since you have not mentioned your category, I am Considering you as a GENERAL Category Student. Firstly, The admissions in any NIT's in India is done on the basis of the JEE mains cutoff rank and not on the basis of the percentile. Secondly, in order to get some top and good NIT's of India, you have to score around 98-99 percentile in JEE mains. With 98-99 percentile in JEE mains, your rank will be around 25-30K which is suitable to get some good NIT's or GFTI's of India.
So, the bottom line is that, you have to score around 98-99 percentile in JEE mains and have to get a rank within 28K in JEE mains (to be on the safer side) to get top NIT's In India.
