Hello,
The admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs occur considering JEE Mains score. It is through JoSAA counselling that you are able to get admission. The admission registration starts only by second week of June. The admission occurs with the help of opening and closing rank that each course has in every institute. The cut-offs depend on category to which you belong, seat matrix, quota type-All India, Home State, Other State. You can check out the NIT that best suits you by viewing the previous year cut-offs at https://josaa.nic.in/webinfocms/Public/View.aspx?page=71
