Hello there

You have not mentioned your home state in the question.

Most of the colleges and universities have specific percent of seats reserved for the home state students.

Thus if you fill your preferences accordingly to your home state then it will definitely add up to the benefit.

So, kindly take care of this while filling the preferences. Given that you are an obc candidate, you would definitely land up on something better.
