Yes you get JU but branch will be much lower

Sorry to say but you won't be able to get any branch in JU with this rank as a general category student.But still you should always give it a try.

Unfortunately at this rankings under General category you cannot get Jadavpur university under any branch since cutoffs are within 6000 ranks.

Some decent chances expected with following Government engineering colleges :

Purulia government engineering college
Government college of engineering and textile technology
Government college of engineering and leather technology
Cooch behar government engineering college
Techno India Salt Lake.
