Hii, AryamanThanks,you have mentioned the names of some of the good colleges for this coarse but at the same time the term BJMC is also mentioned by you ,this is the coarse that confused me a lot . According to my accumulated info. This coarse seems to seek a lot of focus on journalism skills and subjects but I want to go for news anchouring so ,please can you help me in solving this dilemma . I think B.A. in Mass communication is better than BJMC and also tell me the difference between the two.

Of course I can clarify the difference for you, since I had also planned to do this course earlier, I was very interested in what it entailed.

Journalism is only a subset of 'mass' communication. By mass, you mean a large group of people right? So, yes, mass communication deals with not just news reporting, but also editing, advertising, event management, public relations etc.

Journalism is very specific, as in gathering and dissemination of data, which we call news. Doesn't have anything more to do, say, advertising or whatever.

However, journalism is only a part of Mass Communication. It's just that journalism has become very important today because of it's quickness, and hence people have started replacing the word mass communication with journalism.

For example, Mass Communication is Indian Food, while journalism would be 'Roti-Dal'. I know, weird analogy, but I hope you get the point.

I can't tell you which course is better, that is something you have to decide for yourself!!
