SASTRA Engineering College is a prominent deemed university known for its world class quality in academics  and research. SASTRA allocates seats based on 2 criteria, namely Stream 1 which holds 70% of seats and Stream 2 which holds the rest 30%.

Stream 1:

The weightage for +2 marks and JEE Mains score will be 75% and 25% respectively. The aggregate JEE Mains score and the normalized +2 Score will be taken into account. The normalization process is primarily based on the topper's score. But it may vary accordingly. The amalgamated score of all students will determine SASTRA Rank and the admission will be based on this rank criterion. There is a good chance to  get in if your SASTRA rank is up to 4000.

Stream 2:

30% of seats of each branch are filled through Stream 2. But hoping for this is uncertain.

Since you have Good score in JEE Mains in addition to your Board Exams, you're probability of getting admissions is up standing. So, go have a try!

Good luck!

Hi,

SASTRA University takes up its admission into two streams: Stream 1 and Stream 2

1. Stream 1 (70% of seats) : They will consider both your JEE Mains and 12th Class percentage. The weightage of JEE Mains and 12th percentage will be 25 % and 75% respectively

2. Stream 2 (30% of seats) : They will consider only your 12th class percentage.

So for example you have secured score of 180 in JEE Mains and then 90% in your Class 12 Examination; this will be calculated as (0.25*180) + (0.75*90) = 112.5

The cutoff score has not yet been decided. But you are have a good chance of getting into the the CSE Branch. The last day to apply is 31st  July.

Hope this helps, All the best!
