    Hey there!!

    Congratulations Anupama for securing such a good rank .

    You can easily get CSE in VIT in whichever campus you want.

    VIT offers Computer science and engineering (CSE core), CSE with spec. in information security and CSE with spec in bioinformatics in vellore campus.

    CSE with spec in information security is second most opted branch of the college and then comes the CSE with spec. in bioinformatics

    CSE in information security deal with security issues related to data transfer across networks and CSE in bioinformatics students do not study embedded systems,microprocessors,graphics and multimedia, mobile computing  and 2 math subjects.

    So though VIT offers CSE+ spec.... CSE(core) is still the most sought after is it? And then comes information security and bioinformatics?

    hey!!Yes Anupama, CSE core is the most preferred branch in vit and then comes the spec that is cse spec with information security is the second most preffered branch of vit and then comes the spec with bioinformatics.And placement wise ,very few companies hesitate to let bioinformatics students sit for placements. out of 40+ companies that have come so far ,only 14-15 haven't allowed hybrid branches. hope this helps. good luck!!
