Dear student,

I hope you are doing well, about your question, here is the thing u see, In CSAB Special Round students participating MUST pay participation fee i.e.

37000/- for GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL and

17000/- for SC, ST, PwD. This is in general for all new applicants including Rs 2000/- as non-refundable processing charges.

The below Criteria is for those students who payed for joSAA :

THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF FEE PAYMENT

  • Candidates who withdrew / cancelled seat for NIT
  • Candidates who withdrew / cancelled seat from IIT's

The candidates who had already paid the seat acceptance fee during the JoSAA Rounds but they WITHDREW /CANCELLED i.e. the Last Allotted Seat which Must be from NIT+System Only, after Document verification are required to pay only Rs. 2000/- as non-refundable processing charges. (their seat acceptance fee already paid will be adjusted against the Participation Fee for CSAB special rounds and this amount will be transferred to the finally Admitting Institution).

This rule  will not be applicable if the last allotted seat is withdrawn/cancelled from IITs. Such candidates are required to pay the participation fee as mentioned in point.

Those candidates who had already paid the PARTIAL ADMISSION FEE during the JoSAA-2020 admission process (during 9th-13th November, 2020) for SECURING their seat in NIT+ System, are required to pay only Rs. 2000/- as non-refundable processing charges (their partial admission fee already paid will be adjusted against the Participation Fee for CSAB special rounds and this amount will be transferred to the finally Admitting Institution).

Hope this helps!!

Dear student,

As you have paid seat acceptance fees in josaa counselling, and have withdrawn your seat then and your seat acceptance fees was adjusted in the participation fees of csab special round counselling.

Now as you have got alloted a new seat in csab special round counselling and if you want to accept it, then you have to pay the seat acceptance fees. Because your previous seat acceptance fees was adjusted in the participation fees of csab. If you had paid the partial admission fees in josaa then you wouldn't have to give any type of seat acceptance fees.
But as you have not paid partial admission fees in josaa rather you have withdrawn your seat, then yes you have to pay the seat acceptance fees in csab special round counselling if you want to accept your seat.
