NIT Agartala is not a bad college Shreya, it may seem far and subsequently bad but trust me it's not so. It has got decent placement record and good faculty like all other NITS and much better facilities and infrastructure because its newly constructed. But, I suggest you participate in all the 7 rounds of counselling and FLOAT your choices to see what's the best you can get.

If you are interested in Electrical Engineering, then you should definitely opt it as it has all the neccesaary equipments in the labs and pretty experienced faculties that are always available to guide the young, aspiring minds. The Electrical department conducts regular workshops and seminars to keep the students aware about the new trends and technologies in the field. The placement response is also good as majority of the students get placed in Infosys, IBM, ABB, Havells etc. The college provides everything an EE aspirant wants and a proper exposure as well.

I hope this answer clears your query.
