See it's always difficult to assure a seat in particular college/University as it depends on the cutoff of that particular college /University which almost changes every year depending upon the performance of students no. of  students applied and no. of seats available.

However, comparing to previous year cutoff trend ifyou belong to home state yes you may get into Jadavpur university with the course of your choice but if you belong to other state then with this rank it seems a bit difficult for you to get into the university.

The cutoff trend tends to change but no big margin is expected.

Yes you can probably get admission into jadavpur university. Your rank is fine and so deserve one for sure. However choices of branch may hinder as the branch allotment won't be specific to predict, it would all depend upon the number of aspirants and the scores of the students as well.

If you fall in general category then I'm afraid you won't get into Jadavpur University for the basic Engineering courses. But you can easily get it for courses like pharmacy. Apart from that you can check out other good colleges like
