Congratulations for your core. According to previous year trends, the state cut off would be comparable to 2017 data, but since seats have increased, there cannot be made a definitive comparison. Your category might benefit you a little, but since the number of categories and sub categories and their reservation is different for different college of your state, you should apply for all thr rounds of counselling to have a better chance at getting the best college at your rank. Previous year trends are as follows:
For the year 2018, the cut off was 471 (highest) for Government Medical College, Kozhikode and the lowest was 386(lowest) for Government Medical College, Palakkad for state quota seats.
For the year 2017, the cut off was around 470 for Government Medical College, Kozhikode and the range was about 20 marks. This years cut offs are being compared to 2017's. So you have a chance at getting a seat in the government medical college of your own state. You might not make it to GMC, Kozhikode in the very first round of counselling, but you should take the seat that is offered to you in the first round and appear for upgradation in the second round.
