Every year approximate cut off happens to be somewhere around 450. In 2015, it was 453 (for genrel) and this year, 2016 it was 468 (again for genrel category). But no one fetches a govt medical college if they lie near the cut off marks. The govt medical seats are very limited and so, reaching till 520(approx) all the seats are taken.


Answer to your question: There is a CHANCE of getting a govt medical seat only if you score more than 500. But if you reach somewhere more than 520, you'll definitely get a seat.
