A total of 690 companies visited VIT in the annual placement drive of 2019. A total of 6180 job offers were made to the students across all the streams. Some of the leading companies that became a part of the placement process include Microsoft, Philips, HP, TCS and Bosch among many others. The highest placement percentage was offered in IT sector with 35% of the overall placement share.

VIT offers its students a variety of placement processes. Students sit for Regular offers, Dream Offers (4.5 LPA and above) and Super Dream Offers (10 LPA and above). VIT Vellore Placements came to an end for the first session of 2019-2020 on 9 January 2020. Here are the placements highlights of the institute

VITEEE 2015 Counselling Phase 1 for ranks 1 to 20,000 concluded on May 16, 2015 with Computer Science and Engineering emerging as the most sought after branch at Vellore campus of VIT University. All the seats of this branch were filled on the first day of counselling, whereas seats in branches like Production and Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. remained vacant till the third day. At Chennai campus also, CSE was the most popular branch among the participants.

As we all know that bit is quite popular for its placements in CSE and ECE. But bhopal is a new campus, and is developing till now. Therefore the placement opportunities are not that much good as compared to other vit campus. So it is suggested to join budge Institute of Technology, Kolkata.
