Dear aspirant,
The best of both attempts will be considered in the final rank list so if you unfortunately perform bad in the coming attempt which is not scheduled in the July last week then your performance of January attempt will be considered in making off rank list.
However your percentile for example was 99 in the January at time then you are rank will be approximately around 1.2 lakh, but it is expected that the number of aspirantchanges in becoming attempt so accordingly your rank might also be changed as percentile is a relative parameter depending upon the number of test takers.
Percentile to rank
(1-percentile/100)*(number of test takers)
Thank you.
Hello Aspirant ,
For qualifying for JEE Advance you should be above cutoff rank and your rank will be determined on the basis of your percentile you got in JEE Mains examination .
And it is clearly mentioned by NTA that the best of the two percentile will be considered for rank determination . So if you got good percentile in January and got even better percentile in April then the percentile you got in April will be considered for your rank calculation and if due to some reason you was not able to score better than January and scored less percentile than January then the percentile of your January paper will be used for calculating your rank .
