Dear Nagalla, both these colleges are the one of the top most and reputed colleges of DU. The cut offs of these two colleges is generally same or Hindu College beats by a very small gap.

If you solely want to compare them on the basis of academics then you can find different answers. For B.Com Hansraj College is considered better than Hindu College. As the placements are also given to students in both the colleges not more than 3-4 LPA but Hansraj College holds the record for Max package of 6LPA.

For Science Stream Hindu College is considered better over Hansraj College.

Both the colleges have good environment. Since you have got admission in first cut off so you will be finding many braninacs over there.

Confluence is the annual cultural fest of Hansraj College. Hansraj's fest happens during the daylight hours. The celebrities come by 3-3.30p.m perform and leave by 5.30-6p.m.

Mecca is the cultural fest of Hindu College. It is counted among the few best DU fests after CROSSROADS & TEMPEST.

Talking about the canteen, Hindu College has a greater canteen. The cheapest things are available at best prices. The well maintained canteen can be your adda during your 3 year long journey.

On the other hand Hansraj's small, conjested, and poorly maintained canteen might put you off.

My advice would be not to compare both colleges on the basis of only academics.
