I am afraid your percentile is not enough to get you a government engineering college. Government engineering colleges have very hidg admission cut-offs. However, you can try out for private engineering colleges.
Hello Rohit,
If you want to get government colleges like NITs,IIITs,GFTIs then you have to first clear the required cutoff as per your category. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff (percentile) category wise -
- CRL : 89.75
- GEN-EWS : 78.31
- OBC-NCL : 74.21
- SC : 54.01
- ST : 44.33
- PwD : 0.11
So if you have cleared the required cutoff as per your category then you are JEE Main qualified and hence eligible to get a seat in government colleges like NITs,IIITs or GFTIs. Now to get seat in these colleges you have to go through JoSAA counselling process. Now, if by chance you dont get a seat through JoSAA but you are JEE Main qualified then you can opt for CSAB counselling through which you could get a seat in NITs,IIITs,GFTIs,SFTIs. CSAB counselling will start after the completion of JoSAA counselling process. For other government colleges , those who accept JEE Main score but doesn't participate under JoSAA, for them you have to attend the respective counselling of those particular colleges. With your JEE Main percentile you are likely to get a seat in government colleges but can't say for sure. Better attend the respective counselling process of your choice of colleges and see which branches are you getting.
