I got only 40.7 percentile what should I do? Can I get NIT college?

It is impossible to get an NIT seat with 40 percentile in JEE Mains. The least cutoff of any category lies in the range of 60 percentile and to get a NIT seat the minimum cutoff for any category lies in 88 and above percentile.
