Hello Aspirant,

Sorry to tell you dear but unfortunately you are not eligible for NEET because to appear in NEET one should have PCB as compulsory subject group in class 12th but you have Biology as an additional subject which won't allow you to appear for NEET, so you cannot appear for NEET.

But not to be disappointed because you can go for JEE-Mains or any other engineering entrance exam or if you are interested in medical field only then also there are some courses other than MBBS/BAMS/BHMS and so on :

** Occupational Therapist - Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Except Maharashtra because in Maharashtra there is requirement of NEET score for BPT)

** Biotechnologist - Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology

** Biomedical Engineer - Bachelor of Technology in Biomedical Engineering

** Microbiologist (Non-Clinical) - Bachelor of Science in Microbiology

** Cardiovascular Technologist - Bachelor of Science in Cardiac or Cardiovascular Technology

** Perfusionist - Bachelor of Perfusion Technology or Bachelor of Science in Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Technology

** Respiratory Therapists - Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy

** Nutritionist (Public Health Nutritionist, Sports Nutritionist, etc.) - Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/Bachelor of Sciences in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition

** Psychologist - Bachelor's in Psychology

** Cytogeneticists - Bachelor of Science in Genetics/Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

But I saw some answers on career360 many of the experts are saying that Biology as an additional subject are also eligible for NEET.

And for my case I don't have Biology as Additional subject in my marksheet it is written that Biology is my Optional Elective Subject. I really don't know earlier that it will be a issue .

Is Additional subject and Optional Elective Subject same?

Kindly reply to my query because I am preparing for Neet from a long time and if I can't give NEET it will be very heart breaking for me.

Suvam There is an update, even if you have Biology as your additional subject you can appear for NEET but it is on the provisional basis, until and unless Hon'ble SC passes judgement on it. So for now you are eligible for NEET 2021.
