I got rank 248 in waiting list in open category in nerist nee1 exam. Can I get seat?

Hello Rabindra. T he selection process is not so complicated. First the PRC rank candidates are alloted seats irrespective of their state. Everyone is ensured a seat. For NEE I there are 40 seats in a branch. 8 states of North East plus All India quota plus PrRC rank holders. So that makes it 10. So from each group 4 students should be alloted in a branch. But PRC rank gurantees a seat in one's desired branch even if 4 seats are taken. Then comes the allotment if seats for state except Arunachal Pradesh. Their counselling takes place on another day. So chances are that you will get a seat, but it not might be the one that you desire.
