Same situation here also
I don't want to give
But my school is forcing me
I'm not getting it why they are??
Hi
No, it is not mandatory to give supplementary or compartment examination of maths.
This is because ,
You have already passed your class 12 board examination overall with 5 subjects and that is what matters.
So if you want you can definitely choose not to give compartment examination of maths but one important thing to note down is, without maths you can only go for courses like BA etc which doesn't require maths in 12th to be eligible but in case if you want to go for a course like BSc maths or let's say b tech then you should definitely give compartment examination otherwise you won't be eligible for the same.
For example,
During my time I had a friend who was in same situation as yours but he chose not to give compartment examination and now is doing his BA from Allahabad University so he didn't face any problem but he couldn't go for science because he had failed in maths so that's what I want to say .
To conclude, if you want to go for a course which requires maths to be eligible like btech etc then you should give the compartment examination otherwise you can definitely not give it.
I hope that you find this helpful
