I had 6 subjects in 12th CBSE- english, phy, chem, maths, bio and additional as physical education. Now applying for counselling in WBJEE, what should be my maximum marks 500 or 600? If 500, should I leave out physical education's marks?
The marks obtained in the additional subject are not usually included in the total marks calculation or overall percentage. Students should only enter the marks of the five main subjects - English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and the total out of 500 during counselling processes. Wherever subject details are required, students can simply mention the main five subjects, leaving out the additional subject completely.
Dear aspirant
Your additional marks is not calculated in your total marks as even if you fail your additional subject your overall all status is passed.
So you should only enter marks of your five main subjects in upcoming counseling that is marks of English, physics, chemistry biology and total marks out of 500 marks.
Your overall percentage is also calculated by adding your main subject marks but not the additional subject marks.
So wherever it's asked you can mention those subjects and leave additional subject.
Hope this information helps you
All the best
