The cutoff marks to qualify the GATE exam will be same for general and EWS category candidate.

You have to produce the EWS certificate at the time of admission/ counselling / recruitment. If you are not having a valid EWS certificate at the time of admission/counselling/recruitment, you will be considered as General category candidate however the rule of change of category depend on the recruting body or institutions where the student apply.

However if you want to change the category the last date of which is 13th November. The additional fee will be required for the change of category. The amount of charges had not been disclosed on the official website yet. After the application process over the correction Window will open and all the details will be provided by gate exam conducting authority.
