India being an agricultural country has many employment opportunities for agriculture graduates in the public sector. Agriculture biotechnology is a relatively specialized field of agriculture and biotechnology.
So if you wish to apply for the public sector in India, in the agriculture research institutes run by central government or other government organizations, then yes the degree has goo prospects.
