I had got 52% in PCM which is best for btech?
Hello, Abhay!
Scores like this will put you into trouble if you want a good career in engineering.
See, your percentage is only 52% PCM so you cannot take admission into good colleges as they require a minimum of 60% for eligibility even. You may do engineering from some lower tier-3 colleges by spending some money but then again you will face problems during placements.
SRM,VIT etc. ask for a PCM aggregate of 70%+.
Most good colleges ask for a minimum PCM aggregate of 60%.
So obviously, you are not eligible for any good college via merit.
The way I see it, you have three choices before you:
-
Get into a college that accepts your marks via merit
.
In this case, your fee will be less/moderate depending on the college but the exposure and knowledge you gain will also be less.
However, you can still study hard, do courses online, do good projects, gain knowledge by yourself and finally get into a good place.
OR
-
Get into a college like SRM that accepts students who got below the required criteria via management quota. In this case, your fee will be high but the exposure and knowledge you gain will also be higher.
In this case you have way better chances at success than the one in the previous case. But you will still have to study hard, do courses online, do good projects and gain knowledge by yourself to get into a good place.
If you can afford it, go with the second option, if not, go with first. But wherever you go, work hard now on and turn your life around.
OR
- If you can take a drop year to improve your scores then it would help you .
Choose wisely. I'm sure you can make it!
All the best!
Hope this helps!
