Dhruv, first off, PWD is not a vertical reservation in NEET. It is a horizontal reservation. This means if you belong to General Category and you have PWD reservation, then you fall under UR=PWD. If it is OBC then OBBC-PWD, so on and so forth. And for claiming reservation under Visual Disability, the disability range should not be more than 40%. If it is more than 40%, then you do not qualify for PWD reservation for NEET. Having said that, it doesn't stop you from claiming the Category reservation that you might be eligible for. And should you get a seat in Medical College, you cannot be stopped from taking admission either. It is just that beyond 40%, you cannot claim PWD reservation in NEET. This 40% slab is for Audio and Visual impairments. It is 70% for Locomotor disabilities. Low vision for 40% disability is categorised as BCVA in better eye- 6/18 -6/36 are considered for PWD benefits. So we would suggest you to get checked by an Opthamologist because this also depends on your Age.
