I think u might have seen the cuttoff in 7 th round but the colleges that ihave mentioned are according to csab rounds. and iiit srisity was somewhat backward in placements and it is not much comparable to those i have mentioned. here comes to comparision b\w iiit and msrit there there is a advantage for iiits for sake of govt tag so please compare those i was unable to spot correct ones and almost for all of those having equal pros and cons and also the 5 years course there are com back logs please help

Praneeth When it comes to Govt tag that you are mentioning, only an IIT or at the most NIT tag might find an advantage. People are yet to know more of the Govt IIITs apart from the private IIIT Hyderabad and Bangalore.



Secondly, in field of IT and CS, you will hardly find any substantial advantage with either of tag, what matters is your skills and academia. But in your options, MSRIT seems better as it is well established, and is a top COMEDK College, besides advantages of being situated in Bangalore.



Of course, at the end its your decision. If you have that determination of studying in a Government Institute go for it, but do try some NITs or perhaps your home state NIT, before the IIITs. In that case you can try for CS at IIIT Guwahati or perhaps at Gwalior or Bhubaneshwar if possible in CSAB. As far as the best IIIT Allahabad is concerned, I dont think there would be any substantial decrease in cutoffs.



There is no point of having an new IIIT tag with no added benefits in Infrastructure, Placements, Academia and Research, all of what you get in MS Ramaiah. Decide wisely.
