Sorry to say but unfortunately you cannot join B.E./B.tech without clearing the backlogs in your diploma. I am also from diploma. I have friends who haven't cleared backlogs and were not able to go for further studies. Try your level best in the last semester. Or else sbtet had provided a chance for students having less than 3 backlogs to clear them by paying Rs.2000.

Yes , you can apply for engineering even though you have 1 backlog in diploma. You have to clear your backlog first. Your score must fitin into the cutoff criteria setup by the particular college.
