It all depends on how you are preparing. You need to be smart enough in your preparations else even 10 hous per day can fall short. So make a plan very tactfully.
All the best
CAT has to be cracked smartly and not with hard work. Put in the efforts but also you will have to have a knack of short cuts and speed. Evaluate yourself every week by taking mock tests. Mock tests do help and they give you a fair idea of where you stand. Sticking to a timetable will not be a good option, infact go with the flow and see what suits you. Improve on your weaker areas.
Hi Anurag, CAT is conducted by IIMs once every year. There are 3 sections in CAT: Quanitative ability, verbal ability and reading comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning. QA consists of 34 questions, VA consists of 34 and DI&LR consists of 32 questions. The total marks is 300 which is divided equally among these three sections and you are alloted 60 minutes for each section.
In order to score a a good percentile in CAT, you must prepare all the three sections well. Find out your weaker areas by taking as much mocks as you can and improvise. It is hard to say how much will you able to score but, yes, if you are giving 5 hours to it every day, then with your hard work and dedication, you can absolutely do well.
All the best!
