Arvind, To be honest, you have an average percentile in CMAT (this is the expected percentile I am assuming)as mentioned in your query and it would be very difficult for you to get any good government college, however, you can get admission to some decent private B-schools. With your CMAT scores you can still check out some decent colleges like

• NDIM New Delhi (fees = 9.3 lakhs)
• BIMM Pune (7.85 lakhs)
• SIES Mumbai, if you belong  to the state of Maharashtra (7.9 lakhs)
• NL Dalmia, if you belong to Maharashtra(9.3 lakhs)
• JIMS Rohini (7.7 lakhs)

All these colleges does a profile based shortlisting. SIES and NL Dalmia does profile based shortlisting for students belonging to the state of Maharashtra only. For students who belong to other states the cutoff is 99.94 and 99.83 respectively. But if you are from Maharashtra then you'll just have to fill in the application form and they'll call you for the GD/PI rounds. Your final selection would depend on your performance in the GD/PI rounds.

If you don't belong to Maharashtra then you must focus on colleges like NDIM, BIMM and JIMS. All these colleges are more or less same in terms of academics and placements. The average compensation package offered is nearly 5-6 lakhs.
