Hello,
To get into IIMs, you have to clear CAT ( Common Admission Test) exam. IIMs accept only CAT percentiles. Here's a detailed eligibility for CAT exam
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50 percent in graduation, SC/ST candidates need only 45 percent.
CAT exam pattern,
Earlier there were CAT question papers consists of 100 questions but now the number of questions have been decreased up to 76 questions. There will be three sections in the CAT question paper
VARC (Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension) 26 questiona
DILR ( Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning) 24 questions
QA- (Quantitive Aptitude) 26 questions
There are two types of questions asked in the CAT exam 1. MCQs (Multiple Choice Question)- Just select the correct option
2. TITA Questions- Candidates have to solve and write the correct answer.
Marking pattern- For every correct answer 3 marks will be rewarded and for ever incorrect answer 1 mark will be subtracted, however no marks will be subtracted if any TITA question is wrong
Good Luck.
