Hello Shruti,

Congratulations for such a good result.

I hope you are doing well for the councilling process.

Yes,there are chances of getting you a seat in NIT Patna with ECE branch in home state and girls quota . If you are in general category than you may have to wait a little and go upto the second round or till the next round but you will surely get the seat and if you belong to any reserved category than you will the seat very easily .

It depends majorly on your category also as the reserved category students get the allotment first.

You must fill the councilling form through JOSAA and wait for the results and because of girls quota also you will get there admission easily because JOSAA has already given reservation for girls.

Also every year the cutoff ranks change and last closing rank was around 38000 for ECE branch in home state & general category and I think this year the closing ranks would surely increase and also girls quota applies to you so will definitely get a seat in ECE branch in NIT, Patna.

Hope this helps.

For any queries feel free to ask.

All the best!!

Regards.

Hi

As per previous year cutoffs, under Home State Quota and Girls Quota, closing ranks were :

Electrical Engineering - 40024,

Electronics and Communication Engineering - 37518.

These were Round 7 results.

In Special Round 1, a student with rank 45404 was selected in Electronics and Communication Engineering under Home State Quota and Girls Quota in NIT Patna in 2018.

Check this NIT Patna Cutoff for B.Tech link to know more about Previous Year Cutoffs: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-patna .

Hello shruti,

According to last year statistics, the closing rank of electrical department under home state category was around 40024 and for electronics and telecommunication department it was around 37518 for girls category(general) in nit Patna, so you won't be able to get nit Patna but you can try for some other nits as well.

Hope it helps
