I have 6 subjects in 12 cbse, if i failed in 2 subjects (in written examination but pass in practicals) and pass in other 4 subjects with good marks, will cbse fail me? I also want to know that if i pass in 4 subjects but fail in 1 subject for 3-5 marks, will cbse fail me? or will give that marks?

In order to successfully complete the Class 12 CBSE board exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33% passing marks in each of the 5 subjects. If a student is enrolled in more than 5 subjects and fails in the 2 subjects, they have the option to take the CBSE 12th supplementary exam specifically for that subject.

Hello,
As per CBSE Examination rules, a student is declared pass if he passes in English and 4 other subjects. So, if you fail in 2 subjects than you will be considered failed and need to appear for compartment exams.
And hence you will not be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses in any university.
Don't worry they don't fail you by 3-4 marks, only those who score significantly lower than passing marks are failed.

Good luck

Hi Mayuri,

The theory to practical exam ratio is 7:3, i.e. 70 marks in theory and 30 marks in practical. If you fail in theory exam and if suppose you get full marks in practicals then also you are not able to make it to the passing marks which is around 33. So answer is yes they will fail you.

Coming to the second part of your question, you may be passed with grace marks.
