I have 6.2 cgpa in 10th and 70% in 12th and i am persuing b.tech so after writing cat can i get into any top IIMs
I would be honest with you, your chances of getting a call from IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta with your current academics are almost nil. For a call from IIM Ahmedabad, you need a 100 percentile. For getting a call from IIM Lucknow, you will probably need a score of 99.95 + percentile. This I am saying on the assumption that you are from general category. All said, there are a lot of colleges, which do not put weightage on past academics. Ex- XLRI, FMS, NITIE, IIFT, MDI, JBIMS, etc. This colleges are also not far behind the elite IIMs and you must consider this options as well. 5-10 years down the line, no one would recognize you by your college name, but your work in the industry. So put your heads down and study for CAT. Also appear for other exams- XAT, IIFT, SNAP, etc and keep your options open. All the best
HI Dear .
if you want admission in top B-schools like IIMs so you have to really work hard for it because the competition is really high you have to score more than 95%ile in tour CAT for IIMs and then they will call you for GD/PI and the you have to clear their GD/PI round, then they will allow you for IIM.
i hope this information is helpful for you

Hey
Getting into IIMs involves huge dedication and hard work . Therefore you must first focus on scoring a good CAT score and on that has you can expect your selection in IIMs . However your academics record throughout doesn't' matters that much if you have a good CAT score and you clear the PIs and GDs but IIMs like a Ahemdabad Bangalore and calcutta do base your selection on your academics performance as well
