If your profile is not strong enough, I recommend your focus should kie on scoring 99.5 percentile atlesst to get through IIMs.
There is Distribution and weightage of marks on Gender, Academics, Work Experience, Engineering or Nonengineering background for IIMs.

If your score meets above criteria and you have great GDPI only then you shall have great chances.

Since there is only one month to go,
you should not start off with new topics , rather focus on revision and mocke xams where you can identify how much time you consuime for wrong questions and find out right approach to solve the same. You need to select and cherrypick questions to get good score within less time. Hence, its advised to have accuracy and watch atleast one news channel everyday plus one newspaper everyday. You wont get accuracy by leaving questions, try to solve all problems initially and where you go wrong solve such questions more to make your weaknesses redundant, once you do that your confidence will boost miles away. Secondly, give maximum mock tests and make sure you dont repeat same mistakes again. once you're done with that you can then choose and select certain questions in final CAT exam to score great percentile within less amount of time for maximum accuracy.

All the best for future endeavors.

Your chances of your conversion depends on various parameters. Even getting a 100 percentile cannot ensure your selection in any of the IIMs. You need to appear for the WAT and PI process and excel there as well. It also depends on your academics and work experience and there are points for gender and academic diversity. CAT score is about 30-40% of your total score for the final selection. Hence give your best in CAT and then prepare for interviews and ace it. All the best!

Yes you definitely can, in case if you are not admitted into any other b-school, I believe you can do some live projects which are available on websites such as internshala.com to enhance your profile in case you have free time on your hands or are not committed time-wise to any other activity pertaining to MBA...Every year criteria pertaining to MBA changes and thus the balance related to events such as B.Tech, Intermediate, etc. may change...so I want you to expect for the best and prepare for the worst and I hope you get your desired results through hard work (you can refer to my answers to other questions for the same)...I hope this answer helps you...

Yes you have passed the eligiblity criteria but as you have a weak academic record then you have to score a very high percentile in CAT exam in order to get calls from IIMs.

You know that after CAT exam each and every IIM prepares a merit list based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges. Generally overall weightage for 10th 12th and graduation percentage is from 10-25% in aggregate score so you can see how much it can vary your position in merit list. The only solution to overcome this is aim for higher percentile.

For getting a call from top IIMs like IIM A, B & C you need to score above atleast 99.8 percentile. For other old IIMs like L, K and I aim to score above 99+ percentile. And if you get above 95+ percentile there is a good probability of getting call from all New IIMs. I have already told percentile is one factor and high percentile is also no guarantee but that is the only way to cover your academic loss.

All the best for your preparations and exams!!
